So now that Aubrey Huff is gone, here are some of the roster moves. Luke Scott will get some PT at 1st Base, but expect the Orioles to call up Michael Aubrey from Norfolk. Aubrey has been putting up decent numbers at AAA until recently. He does have MLB experience with Cleveland.

This should be viewed as a stopgap for the remainder of the season. Not sure on how much value the O’s put on Rhyne Hughes, but I would expect Brandon Snyder to have a decent shot to take over 1st next season.

Also, Matty Albers and his disastrous previous outings has been sent down to Norfolk. Kam Mikolio is making his 3rd stint with the O’s this year.

Albers needs to figure some things out. It’s been bad. I hope for Mikolio’s sake, that he gets some decent opportunities to earn the chance to stay.

The O’s have agreed to terms with 2nd Round pick Mychal Givens. This deal was done at the last possible moment. Talks had concluded last week with very different expectations. Apparently, both sides were able to make something work.

This is great assuming that Givens can progress as a SS. The O’s organization is desperate for strong left infield positions.
