Exclusive Interview: Jake Arrieta
Written by jpilson on May 26, 2009 – 6:28 am -Thanks again to our friends with the Bowie Baysox for letting us have some time with Jake Arrieta. Arrieta offers some great insight on his strength as a pitcher and his game-plan for attacking hitters. Arrieta also talks about the togetherness he and other, up and coming, prospects in the Orioles system are building, and how it is a key to future success for the big club.
We have had two opportunities to speak with top Orioles prospects and neither have disappointed. Both Brandon Synder and Jake Arrieta are confident and thoughtful guys, who get what it takes to make themselves successful at the highest levels. Enjoy our chat with Jake Arrieta.

Nice work with the interview, kids! I thought he came off very down to earth and level-headed! Can’t wait to see him crush it in the bigs!!!

Good interview with Arrieta. Look forward to seeing him in Baltimore soon. If you guys ever get the chance to talk to Chris Tillman that would be great.

Thanks SC! Chris Tillman is definitely on our wish list. Hopefully we can get those details worked out!

Great to see the interview with Arrieta. Having just known him very briefly (he worked with my son on some hitting/pitching) I came away with an impression of a mature, thoughtful and talented young ballplayer and my family is rooting for him to succeed! A great role model for my son and we look forward to seeing him in the big leagues!

How did you score that deal? I would love to have my kid work with a sweet playa like Jake.
