Foxworth a Raven
Written by jpilson on February 27, 2009 – 3:07 pm -The Ravens have reached a deal with free agent defensive back Dominique Foxworth. The team agreed to a 4-year $27.2 million deal with Foxworth, moving quickly after losing out on Bart Scott in free agency. Foxworth played his highschool ball in Catonsville and went on to play at the University of Maryland.
Foxworth is a smaller corner with great speed in the mold of the Ravens other 2 starting db’s Fabian Washington and Samari Roole. It would appear that the writing is on the wall for Rolle as the team is unlike to have signed Foxworth to such a lucrative deal if tehy did not intend to make him a starter. Rolle is older and more expensive than Washington and will likely be cut by the Ravens. Also, look for CB to still be a priority for the Ravens in the upcoming draft.

Out of the blue but it’s obvious they had this guy on their radar for awhile. I agree that Rolle is on his way out. He won’t take a pay cut and is gonna force the Ravens to release him. Word has it he’s never seen eye to eye with Harbaugh. And let’s face it, he’s good for about 8 to 10 games now and in the games he does play, he doesn’t make it to the 4th quarter many times.
I’ll have to defer to Ozzie and Co.’s evaluation. I know one thing, I’ll take him at that deal over Deangelo Hall’s deal. Is anyone else blown away that Hall has pocketed over 46 million bucks in less than a year? 24 from Oakland and 22.5 from Dannyboy. He’s not even good. Truly amazing.

Agreed about Hall. He is talented, but also a head case like some other Hokies. Like you said it is the Redskins MO to sign up the best team in fantasy football.
